I grew up in the North East of Scotland, surrounded by hills and heather. As a child many rainy days were frequently spent scribbling and sketching my ideas and imaginings, and playing with clay (thanks to my potter mum).
After receiving my degree in Zoology I went on to do a postgraduate in Countryside Management. My passion for nature, wilderness and the outdoors plays a big part in my life, and massively influences my work.
Over the last 15 years I’ve been all over the world, living in Eastern Europe and most recently in the Middle East. As I’ve travelled I’ve dipped my toe in various forms of creative media, and scooped up ideas and inspiration from local cultures and artwork on the way.
I now live on the beautiful east Kent coast – with my husband, our two children & dog Bunsen – where I find myself often reverting to my childhood pastime of scribbling, and sketching with a bit of clay and ink thrown in.
