Our Special weekend to celebrate our 120 year history as Thanet's oldest art gallery, picture framers and suppliers of art materials
We will be recreating the original shop window as it was in 1891, complete with Turners “The Fighting Temeraire” as the focal point in our front window. Our staff will also be in Victorian costume to complete the experience! We are also delighted to have characters from St Peters Villgage tour in costume come join the celebration.
There will be a silent auction for the framed Fighting temeraire as featured in our window. The highest bid will win the framed picture with all proceeds going to the pilgrims hospices.
Also on show will be a collection of art materials through the ages and Lovelys own memorabilia including old postcards of Margate and Cliftonville. There will also be a sale on Antique Engravings.
