Born in Ireland in 1968, Sheila was educated at the Limerick School of Art and Design. Having gained a Distinction in her BA Honours Degree in Fine Art she went on to gain her Masters at the University of Wales Institute in 1993.

Sheila has exhibited her work in Dublin, Limerick, Cork and Galway, in Ireland. Following a move to Wales she has shown her work in Cardiff and finally arrived in Brighton where she took up a teaching career. While based in Brighton she was invited to show her work in the Markovitch Gallery in London.
