Alexander Millar has had many sell out shows in both Scotland and Newcastle. Born on the West coast of Scotland in the 1960's, he grew up in a small mining community near Kilmarnock. Having then moved to Newcastle some 16 years later he saw many characters that would become his inspiration later on in life through his art. As a completely self-taught artist Alexander used the memories of image he had seen throughout his childhood as subjects for his paintings.
