1936 degree at the commercial artist school in Dortmund Germany
afterwards an honouree degree at the Royal Academy an Gent Belgium
traveled extenively abroad
has had numerous exhibitions at home and abroad

Initially, as a free commercial artist, he was devoted to the colours of painting. the main thread of his work is to find the full variety of light in landscapes and to create an expressive heightening of colours out of it.

This is especially shown in Mediterranean themes and caostal scenery. the spectrum of his pictures is followed until abstraction. to be inspired from the visual reality, his pictures create a reality of it's own and inspires the imaginations of the viewers himself.
