>> John Haskins

After gaining his City and Guilds diploma in Illustration at art school, John Haskins had a successful early career as a Chief Technical Illustrator working for industry, before deciding to devote his full attention to his first love, that of landscape painting. Working today from his studio at his home in the heart of the English countryside, his paintings reflect all the atmosphere and colour of his surroundings. His life long attention to detail lends an authenticity to the rural scenes he depicts. Occasionally using his two daughters as models, his work vividly evokes all the nostalgic charm of childhood. The popularity of his work in recent years has led to John enjoying successful exhibitions and one- man shows in London and Los Angeles. His paintings are to be found in many private collections and major galleries at home and overseas.
