Layers and fragments of transparent coloured glass are carefully fused together in the kiln to create a shimmering tableau of vibrancy and texture. Fine detailing is often embedded in to the underside of the piece to add depth and description, and elsewhere crushed and powdered glass is delicately scattered to give tonal hints and subtle shading. From simple graphic shapes to more complex organic designs, all bear Stephens distinctive style.

Reflections from the polished acrylic base bring each piece to life, sparkling in the shifting light, the contours and undulations inviting to the touch. Each panel is an original, individually signed by the artist.
